Global Information Inc. (GII; Rockville, MD, USA), an information service company that partners with over 300 research companies around the world to distribute technical and market research, has announced two new reports that show the Patient Monitoring Systems market is becoming increasingly profitable.

Examining industry companies, profits, and other statistics, the reports offer evidence showing the Patient Monitoring Systems market will reach USD 18.9 billion by 2016 as increasing age populations and the need for home-based care call for improved monitoring techniques.

In a new market research report titled Electronic Blood Pressure Monitors: Devices, Players, Markets and Forecasts, Greystone Research Associates analyzed electronic blood pressure monitoring products and their commercialization to predict Patient Monitoring Systems industry trends across global markets.
The report found that new technologies, patient demographics, and care cost initiatives are driving patient monitoring away from caregiver facilities and into patients’ homes for convenience and improved care.
Another report, titled Patient Monitoring Systems Market (2011 - 2016) - Global Trends, End-user & Value-Volume Analysis, supported the theory that the Patient Monitoring Systems market is growing, explaining that an increasing age population and new portable equipment are driving the growth of the Patient Monitoring systems market.

The report explored both the hospital and home monitoring segments, analyzing key players in the industry, such as Philips Healthcare, GE Healthcare, and MindRay Medical, to predict the Patient Monitoring Systems market will grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 5.9 percent from 2011 to 2016 to reach USD 18.9 billion by 2016.
