New Partnership Optimizes Operating Room Workflow

The cooperation, between Richard Wolf GmbH (Knittlingen, Germany) and Meierhofer AG (Munich, Germany), will provide clinical users with the core.expert system for endoscopy, which integrates intervention workflow.

The newly created expert system for endoscopy facilitates a significant improvement in the clinical workflow, cost-effectiveness, and patient security throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. All the relevant information is available immediately in all phases before, during, and after the intervention, including planning data, performance data, and progress of the intervention. The information can also be captured during the operation in real time. Generation of operating reports and evaluations after the intervention is facilitated by automated output.

The cooperation includes the integration of the MCC.OP Module from Meierhofer, an operating-room management system, which offers optimum support from planning to documentation, and the core nova integration solution from Richard Wolf, a central intraoperative system for controlling medical devices, media management, and image and video documentation.
