New ultrasoft neonatal identification (ID) bands are compatible with standard thermal or laser printers.

The DuraSoft TenderCare neonatal wristbands come in set of four, two worn by the baby on the wrist and leg and one each for the mother and father. Product features include an exclusive, patent-pending wristband system that positively identifies the baby with the mother and father, or other designated family member using text, linear and 2D bar codes, photo ID, and graphics. The patented PermaPrint surface provides best imprint quality, maximum resistance to solvents, and seamless fast, accurate, on-demand printing with a thermal printer.

The print surface also helps to increase the lifespan of the print head and ensures crisp, clear bar codes for easy scannability. The wristbands are provided with a tamper-resistant adhesive closure and are offered in plain white or a variety of attractive baby-friendly designs. In addition, the latex-free, phthalate-free material is ultrasoft, intended for delicate newborn skin, and it is coated with an antimicrobial additive that protects the wristband surface against tested nonpathogenic bacteria. The DuraSoft TenderCare neonatal wristbands are a product of PDC Healthcare (Valencia, CA, USA).

“Customer input and patient safety are our top concerns whenever we begin the creative process of producing a new and innovative identification solution for the healthcare industry,” said D’Albert Benoit, patient safety and ID marketing manager at PDC Healthcare.
