New telepresence carts enable healthcare professionals and patients to connect, consult, and collaborate via real-time videoconferencing.

The new StyleView Telepresence line of powered and non-powered carts is lightweight yet stable for easy maneuvering across any surfaces. The range includes five different models, including three sealed lead acid (SLA)-battery powered units (with single, dual, and back-to-back monitor configurations), and two nonpowered units (offering single and dual monitor configurations). Cart integration with telemedicine equipment extends the reach of experts to rural, remote, underserved, and senior populations, regardless of geographic location.

Each cart is constructed to hospital-grade specifications, and is equipped with a drawer, a large drawer for equipment storage, a camera shelf, a CPU/Codec holder, and a medical-grade power strip for flexibility. They provide 51 cm of height-adjustment for caregiver comfort when seated or standing. Autonomous rechargeable AC power system delivers safe, inexpensive, and dependable power. For existing StyeView cart customers, five accessories are available to reconfigure carts with LCD pivot and one drawer into the new Telepresence units. The kits include a camera shelf, the large drawer, and the CPU/Codec holder. The new StyleView Telepresence carts are products of Ergotron (Saint Paul, MN, USA), and are shipped fully assembled.

“Our healthcare customers have managed their way through extraordinary change as the Electronic Medical Record has become a standard of care platform for hospitals and clinics across the country and in some cases, the world,” said Steve Reinecke, assistant vice president of the Ergotron sales team for North America. “These carts will help our healthcare customers expand their care delivery options while helping reduce the cost of care.”

"Since the early days of EMR integration, Ergotron has been at the forefront of designing a family of products which help our customers get the information they need when they need it at the point of care,” said Pete Segar, group president of Ergotron Display Mount Solutions (DMS). “Now with this telepresence platform, and together with our partners, we have products that can bring us into the future of telemedicine easily and affordably.”
