InTechnology Acquires Leading UK Telehealth Provider

Data management services provider InTechnology (Harrogate, United Kingdom) has announced the acquisition of United Telehealth (UTH; Newark, United Kingdom), as part of its strategic plans for continuing growth. More...

The acquisition of UTH includes the recruitment of the company's key scientific, technical, and clinical staff. UTH has initiated pilot projects that are already being conducted across the UK, and will form that basis for a new telehealth service InTechnology expects to launch in the near future. The investment in UTH will allow specific healthcare applications to be developed to provide an end-to-end service from patient to medical expert.

At the same time, InTechnology has also taken a substantial stake in Healthsolve (London, United Kingdom), a leader in the development of healthcare software, which offers software solutions for consumers and healthcare professionals in both the public and private sectors. Both investments build on InTechnology's accredited access to N3, the UK National Health Service (NHS) network linking hospitals, medical centers, and general practitioners (GPs).

“The government has put out a challenge to technology leaders to help deliver an affordable and effective telehealth proposition,” said Bryn Sage, chief operating officer of InTechnology. “Our investments will enable us to add a patient-led managed telehealth service to our existing suite of managed data and telephony services, while providing budget holders in the clinical community with a viable, cost-effective and independent solution.”

“We are delighted to be engaged in this innovative managed service from InTechnology,” said Alan Payne, CEO of Healthsolve. “Our expertise in the healthcare sector will complement InTechnology's own longstanding experience and enables us to add real value by delivering the patient record system that underpins this service.”

InTechnology is a managed service provider that specializes in back-end information technology (IT) infrastructures, equipment maintenance, with specialization in network, voice, data management, and hosting services, including an expanding cloud infrastructure.
