Dalian, a seaside resort in northeastern China, hosted the April 2007, China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) at its spacious World Expo Center. Over four intensive days more than 50,000 visitors from 77 countries, and 1925 exhibitors used the CMEF platform to market, trade, network, discover, and learn.

The quality and quantity of visitors, exhibitions, and facilities raised the fair to a new level in terms of its standing, its image, its comprehensive technological coverage, and its market outreach.
The Fair's international status was further enhanced with the addition of two new national pavilions from Singapore and Spain, joining those from the US, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, the UK, and Korea. The presence of global brands such as Siemens, Aloka, Shinna, GE, Mindray, Neusoft, Wandong, Shinwa, Roche, Philips, Johnson & Johnsonl, Hitachi, Medtronics, Toshiba, Sony, Olympus, Zeiss, Erbe, Datex-Ohmeda, Pentax, Samsung, Fuji, Shimadzu, Kodak, Agfa, and Drager made certain the attention of Chinese and visiting hospital administrators, and other buyers.

The CMEF event has provided an effective platform for local and international market players to discover new collaborative opportunities for joint production, and for research and development. In addition, international participants gained an improved understanding of China's medical equipment industry and market by means of conferences, seminars, and symposia, which were attended by nearly 2,000 industry professionals.

CMEF has received acclaim from visitors and participants who provided positive feedback for the show's buyers, product specifiers, and organizers of networking events, conferences and exhibitions. Fabrizio Fabbrini, CEO, Moretti, S.P.A., Italy, who recommends a visit said, "This is a good event with many Chinese and international exhibitors. I have met many old friends and made many new ones.”

CMEF, with its October 2007, event in Chengdu and the upcoming show in April 2008, in Shenzhen (near Hong Kong), is the largest medical equipment exhibition in Asia-Pacific.
