The GaussAlert magnetic field strength alarm is designed to help keep MR conditional equipment outside of the MRI exclusion zone and is programmed to alarm when the preset magnetic field strength is exceeded. It reduces the possibility of malfunction of medical equipment used in the MRI room, such as infusion pumps, contrast injectors, patient monitors, anesthesia machines, as well as degradation of the image quality of scans.
